Hello,

How should one go about studying for Math Level 1? I took a practice test today and got a 740 but I REALLY need to get an 800!!

Also, what formulas should I have memorized?

T-minus 3 weeks until test so any advice would be appreciated :)

keep practicing math and give practice tests and memorise algebra and geometry, trigonmetry formulas, write them down in a paper and read them everyday till you take the test, this way all formulas will be fresh in your mind, that’s it and you should be fine.

Watch out for careless mistakes; I know people who have gotten 790s on these tests. Also make sure you know your algebra, geometry, trig, etc.

Have you tried the math2 test? The curve is a lot more forgiving, and if you’ve done precalculus, it may be easier to score higher. Everybody I know scored significantly higher on the math2 than the math1 (even one who retook math1 several times and never got above a 740 scored 800 on math2)

the math 1 curve is terrible - some of my review books say the only way to get an 800 is to answer every question and get every one right. i’m not sure if that’s the exact case, but it’s definitely very close. It’s pretty hard to get a 750+ on math 1.
