Hi,

I'm in Pre-Calc right now and math 2 doesn't seem so bad. I got a tutor to review concepts with me, we start tomorrow, here are my questions:

1) What strategies should we go over? Like Calculator wise (shaving off time)

2) What concepts are most tricky etc. that I should pay attention to?

3) How should I structure my prep time with him coz I have no idea

Thanks!

Getting an 800 on Math IIC is not so bad, but not easy. The test goes in order of difficulty so at first it seems like Math IC for the first 30 questions but 31-50 are harder. Their is some trigonometry and statistics. I would just get very comfortable with understanding factoring with many variables and get very good at calculator tricks. I studied just the night before, for this test and although I never saw how many I got wrong, I was confident I had them all. 50 questions in 60 minutes is not difficult. Just keep in mind simplifying and there is really not much to say. Approximately a raw score of 45 out of 50 is an 800, so 46 right and 4 wrong do the job as well. I am in AP Calculus BC as a junior so I took it in October, because their is no calculus on it; I would suspect taking Math IIC after AP Calculus BC would even be disadvantageous because it is really pure precalculus with some general statistics mixed in. Maybe review your geometry but this is not a very difficult test. I got 770 Math IC, 800 Math IIC, 800 SAT Math. If you got at least a 750 on SAT Math I would say it is likely you will at least get a 700 on this test and with studying an 800 is within reach. Do not listen to people who say not to study, for it is not THAT easy. Good luck!
