the 88th percentile won’t hurt you. The 300 in 4th Grade Logic will destroy your chances at all schools however.

serious question though. if she is in the 88th percentile is that because she missed 6 questions or so but the curve allowed her to have an 800 or is it because she got an 800?

in other words, is the percentile based on the raw score or on the actual score?

EVERY single person who scored an 800 was 88th percentile for this test, regardless of if they got 5 wrong or 1 wrong. That’s the way percentile works, it means 88% of people scored lower than you. Since nobody can score higher it means that 11-12% of people who took the test got an 800. ALSO there is no possible way that this ■■■■■ could know the whole 88th percentile thing because the detailed report doesn’t come out until tuesday.

"OP, are you a ■■■■■■? " - Spread the word to end “the word.”

This is the most ridiculous thread I have seen

OP, what do you expect to score on the SAT Math II should you retake? An 810, perhaps? Yes, of course… that would put you in the 100th percentile for sure.

^maybe 10char

i think this was an honest question. if someone didn’t know the system very well, it would be reasonable to wonder why one could get an 800 and still be in the 88th percentile. and yes, the idea of it being based on raw score is not completely ridiculous.

But to the poster, 800 is the highest and the percentile just means that 12 percent got an 800 too.

^thanks for a reasonable response, as compared to everyone else’s hostile posts…
And also, this thread was obv not a ■■■■■ since it’s from May, so u guys should stop posting on it lol…
