<p>Hi, my 8th grade son just took the SAT. Would people mind posting their kids' 8th grade scores vs. 11th grade? If there is already a thread on this, please point me to it. Thanks!!</p>
<p>I know I’ve seen it in the SAT part of the non-parent section - at least a couple of years ago.</p>
<p>My older son went from 680CR/690M to 800CR/770M. (no writing for his 7th/8th grade scores)
My younger son went from 560CR/540M/450ishW to 790CR/690M/670W</p>
<p>My recollection was that the lower the scores were in 7th or 8th grade the bigger the jump was, but that the average was about 100 points improvement in each section. One kid who’d had high 700 scores in 8th grade actually got lower scores in high school!</p>
<p>8th grade - 1800 cold, no prep
10th grade - 2100 cold, no prep
11th grade - Hope for some improvement with prep</p>
<p>8th grade - 570 CR, 590 M, 610 W
11th grade - 740 CR, 770 M, 730 W</p>
<p>(with one month tutoring for math)</p>
