9th Grade Hopeful, Any Advice?

My 9th Grade Class Load:

AP World History (Pilot Program, if that makes any difference)
Honors English
Honors Physics
Honors Geo w/Proof
Mandarin 4
PE
Public Speaking / Debate
Student Aid (Basically, running errands for teachers)

English is by far my best subject, few middle school awards for it, some articles in the school magazine for parents, but I love it and that's why I do well in it.

I plan to get a IB Diploma, and I'm learning sign language and bellydancing, teaching swimming to elementary school kids, and planning on joining the school newspaper. I'm on the swim team, but not talented enough to go anywhere meaningful with it.

I go to an international school in Taiwan, but I lived in California until 7th grade.

I'm actually doing pretty decent with my course load, nothing too hard, but I feel like I'm not working hard enough.

Any advice about what to take and what to work on? Or just advice in general.

Too early to worry about any of this. Find some ECs that you like doing and devote a lot of time to them. Take the most rigorous courseload available to you. That’s it.

My advice would be to relax and enjoy your high school years. What’s the rush?

If you keep thinking about college from now through your senior year, you’re going to be worn out. If I were you, I’d get rid of my CC account because thinking about college that early isn’t going to do you any good.

Honestly it’s impossible to tell anyway. A lot can change, and it’s junior year that’s the most important
