haha u went down

sucksers

Junior PSAT - 610
June SAT - 680
i know its not a huge jump but i can say that a lot of things helped me. 1. studing for the math 2c test was helpful BECAUSE the material was way harder 2. from october to june i think there is a natural improvement just from being in school 3. a couple of solid weeks of cramming in practice sections in the Princeton Review book
ive seen a lot on this thread that people say the blue book and the barrons 2400 books are useful so i will work through those in the summer. i think since i will have more time over the summer i will try to actually work through math books that teach you concepts AND THEN do practice problems.

what are good math books besides the blue book?

Geez, sorry I made you so angry. I was mainly pointing out that I became prepared for math by taking math at school, paying attention and working hard. Note the huge change between 6th grade and 11th grade. That was my point.

rainynightstarz - 800 on mathiic, thats amazing, i studied a lot and got a 650, plan to retake, whats ur advice?

fhgwgads wut do u mean u didn't have huge change.. u had 300 pt change u were just tryign to brag.. why list you took it 6th grade do u think someone gives an fck

ilovebusiness, you should probably learn English a little bit better if you want to try to disagree with what I wrote (which was written in English). Basically, I said (now I will write this post at a 1st grade reading level from now on) that I took it in 6th grade, and got a 450. Then, in 11th grade, I took it again. (Did I use hard words again?) This time, I got a 760. How? I took 5 years of math courses in between. (oops, sorry. Courses=classes=place where you go every day to learn) That was my improvement strategy.

then maybe you should have said that! fhqw....

to Sarah: for math 2c
i first went thourgh the barron's book, the lessons were just as important as the practices tests i wrote an amazon guide here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syltguides/fullview/1N5UM5XTP04MG/ref=cm_sylt_byauthor_title_full_1
that's basically what i did, but i am just a math person, but the practice definitely helps
cuz even though there is so many questions we can get wrong but there are also questions that are super hard, so its important to get as many accurate as possible.

fhq, stop being a douche bag. No one is impressed.

Why do you keep saying that? I did not expect anyone to be impressed. I am not impressed with my 760. I was mainly pointing out the fact that the best prep for the SAT is school. If you slack off through school for 4 years, don't expect to do well. The fact that you can "cheat it" by doing this prep stuff shows how pointless evaluation based on the SAT is.

OHHHH I think I realized the problem!!! I said "note" in my original post, and all you people who "can't read good" thought it said "NOT"

Now I get it. PLEASE READ MORE CAREFULLY NEXT TIME!!!

NOTE DOES NOT EQUAL NOT!!!

it's OK!! just drop that topic... no need for more explanation or criticism

Ok, agreed.

thanks so much rainy, that helps a lot. i have the barrons but i didnt have time to do it the first time so i will def do it this time. im on my way to order that other book. i feel a lot better about what to do next!

np i hope you can improve a lot! good luck!

bump! share stories on how YOU improved!!!

After taking AP Calculus AB, I jumped from a 610 to a 770. My advice is to just pay attention in school, and it will come naturally as you do the work.

I didn't study much, and I am taking the test again this October to improve my CR score, so maybe I should brush up on my math too :).

Oct 2006 - 550
June 2007 - 610

All I did was PRACTICE!(Blue Book and 11 Practice Tests). Hoping to improve it by Oct 2007.

Junior PSAT: 610
First practice test: (i don't remember, sorry)
First real test, Junior May: 640

i didn't study much since i was focusing on the other sections. i only read kaplan's prep book. ><"

post your stories!! or questions about how to improve
