<p>Well - just based on GPA - all schools are different, so if schools are to be doing any comparing of GPAs, it's only gonna be b/w you and any other applicants from your school. If that's the case, I'd imagine they'd use the (+)s and the (-)s to provide some level of distinction. That's just a guess - but it seems logical.</p>
<p>some colleges like stanford drop the +/- signs and use only your unweighted gpa. so, yeah it depends on the school.</p>
