A-B Honor Roll vs Honor Roll vs A Honor Roll

How should I list honor roll on my application? I received A-B Honor roll my junior year however I still maintained my 4.0 (my school is weird and counts mid-term grades even though they dont count). Im applying to top schools, so Im afraid AB Honor Roll looks bad, should I just put honor roll? Or since I still technically maintained all A’s during my junior year, A honor roll?

Doesn’t matter, colleges don’t care what that particular “award” is labeled because they are going to look at your transcript. Don’t lie or misstate it, but don’t sweat it either because it’s not material.

If you did not earn something, then you can’t say that you did. There are no “technicallies” here.List it correctly or don;t list it - those are your options. FWIW, honor roll is not not really worth the space to list it, IMO.

My transcript doesn’t list honor roll on it, plus I don’t have 5 awards.

So should I probably just go with “Honor Roll” then?

Imo, milee is referring to the strength of your transcript, including rigor and grades. School honor roll is so variable, some hs making it (like honor societies) easy to achieve. Not a boost, for a top college. Lots of kids will apply with a 4.0. Agree, not worth worrying about. You could omit it entirely and adcoms will still know how to interpret your transcript. It’s not what top colleges look for.
