So, I've come up with an essay for the diversity prompt. Could some current students/2013-ers take a look at it and tell me if I'm heading in the right direction, and give me some advice on how to improve?

I’d gladly take a look when I get a moment.

You can send it to me. i’ll help out

Thanks guys, I sent it right over.

Any more takers?

Bump this up

send me ur essay at m12acrxx@hotmail.com

I bet you’ll get conflicting advice from everyone…

Write something original which no one will think of. Even if it’s weird and awkward, you’ll seem to be adding to the diversity of thoughts and opinions at the school because no one else wrote what you did. You’ll be showing them how you are diverse.

Well this is kinda late, but PM me the essay if you still need help; I’ll give you my opinions.

I’m not sure if I can help you, but I can give you some advice on what to write and or what I wrote about. I wrote about a club that I was in for four years. It’s called the Martin Luther King association. I was a dance captain in the club for two years and this club has had a tremendous influence on the school when it comes to the current achievement gap present at my school and white and black interaction. There was a walkout at my school, due to the actions of a racist principal that we had. The club that I am in lead the walkout and all of the activities that preceded it. We were also on the news. I talked about how this group has challeneged my school to disregard race and be more open. I also talked about how my dance group and our performances at other schools that portrayed how people of any race can come together and enjoy performances by talented individuals.

Talk about something you have passion it and its impact on a diverse group of people and how diversity has impacted your passion. When talking about diversity it is important to sound natural and not superficial. Use examples that mean something to you and how it has affected your views on diversity. Also talk about any experiences that you have been though that has highlighted the importance of diversity.

I know this just got bumped up and I’m pretty late, but if you want another set of eyes, PM it to me.

pm me if you still would like someone to critique :)

I wrote about living in an Amish community over the summer.

PM me I’ll read.
