You don’t mention if you are an AL resident or which college you might be interested in–entering GPA’s vary widely–engineering, business, biology/pre-med have higher GPA standards. Also, # of oos students varies widely by college. You probably haven’t taken the SAT/ACT yet but those are a factor too. You obviously have great extracurriculars. You have all next year to boost your GPA and prepare for the tests. Good Luck and War Eagle!

I live in GA. I want to major in zoology , but I forgot what college type that was.

You would be in the College of Science and Mathematics (commonly referred to as COSAM on the AU website and by Auburn students and faculty). The avg. stats for admitted freshmen in COSAM for 2011 were as follows:
ACT composite – 28.0
GPA – 3.96
As mentioned by abtsmom, these averages vary from school to school, and the in-state and OOS numbers may also differ. The overall OOS ACT avg. was 27.7 for admitted students in the class entering in 2011. The AL resident avg. was slightly less – 26.9.

3.96? Looks like I need to strive for all A’s and stop making A’s and B’s

That average could drop some, but it’s pretty high in COSAM for admitted students. It drops very slightly for actual enrolled students. I guess it’s safe to assume that a student would need more A’s than B’s, but it is just an average – some kids will end up with less than 3.9, others may have something slightly higher. They will also take into consideration the rigor of your schedule – really tough courses will help you in the long run, even with a B.
You can see a wealth of admission data if you visit the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment on the AU website – the common data sets are available here:
