I was wondering if the fact that I applied as an economics major in the business school will make a difference in my acceptance? I think that its more competative but I just was not sure.

Iim not sure but I don’t think Econ is a B School major anymore- Thought I heard this on college tour but maybe current students can confirm!

ok so whether or not it is in the business school does deciding a major make it more or less competative for acceptance? (oh and im applying to U Park)

I can’t confirm whether or not applying for a certain major would make it more easy or difficult to get in but I can tell you that major changes at Penn State are extremely easy to do. Since you don’t officially choose your major until the end of sophomore year anyway, you have the choice to completely choose another major or stick with the one that you enrolled with. In fact, many Penn Staters end up switching their majors several times throughout their 4 years. In essence, the major that you choose upon applying shouldn’t really matter too much at first.
