A Day On College Hill

Anybody going? I really want to go.

I don’t think I will be able to unfortunately, because I can’t afford flying out there. I’m thinking about calling the Fin. Aid office up and see if I can work something out.

I'm going. :) I would DEFINITELY call up FinAid, daiikon, because I just received an email informing me that Brown would finance my trip b/c of my financial status. If you ask real nice and have the need, they'd probably be willing to do the same. Good luck!

I think ADOCH sounds like it would be a worthwhile trip. Our daughter is going -- I asked if she wanted us to come along and that was a definite no!

What I wasn't clear about was how much the focus would be on helping accepted students decide vs. providing more info and orientation to students who are already planning on attending Brown.

dadude -- that's what ADOCH really is about.... trying to entice the kids who are on the fence to come. i also think there might be some programs for parents, but i could be wrong - my parents came, and they walked around providence and did some sight-seeing. after all, wouldn't you want to know where your kid(s) might be spending their next 4 years?

daiikon, my parents are going to talk to the fin aid people also. they called Brown and Brown said that at ADOCH they'll have fin aid people "on call" so you just walk in and talk to them, no appt necessary. hope that helps!
by the way, I'm coming to ADOCH too!

i'll be there. Anyone else riding AMTRAK? I'm getting on at trenton.
