So this is not another thread about part II being absent after mid-August. I was wondering about a few things.

What are my chances of getting accepted with

GPA 3.83
ACT 35
A rough cirriculum filled with honors/AP courses.
AP Scores:
Economics Macro 4
US Government 4
US History 5
English Lang/Comp 5

And medicore list of activities.

I would like to go to the SCA. I know it's ultra-competitive, so would it be better to just apply to a different program (like Business) and minor in film production?

Is it possible to apply to both the SCA and the Business school at USC?

For academic programs, yes you would have a good shot. With that said, SCA is a whole different story as your portfolio plays a large part in your acceptance. However, USC does allow you to list a second choice major if you don’t get into your first choice, so you could definitely apply to SCA and if you don’t get in, you could be considered for Marshall.

I’m pretty sure there’s no minor in film production, though I think you can take production classes with other film minors. Also, if you do apply for the business school, there is a joint program (Business in Cinematic Arts) that you can apply to if you’re admitted to the business program that is a business program, but you “concentrate” in cinematic arts.

If you do decide to do the SCA minor, there is a wonderfully flexible Cinematic Arts minor [USC School of Cinematic Arts - Prospective Students Minors and Additional Programs Minors Cinematic Arts](http://cinema.usc.edu/prospective/other/minors/cinematic-arts.htm) that allows you to customize it to your interests. There is only one required course (CTCS 190 or 191), and then you can choose whatever concentration - such as production - and take the rest of your courses for the minor in that area. Or you can sample all of the SCA areas.
