At USC you can get rejected from SCA and still get in to the college of arts and sciences or whatever it is called....the other schools at SC are like a process above the regular college...so basically yes

If you do not make it into the School of Cinematic Arts it is still possible to minor in Cinema-Television, Screenwriting, Digital Media-Based Imaging or 3-D Animation.

If you are interested in the business end of the entertainment industry the Marshall School of Business has a joint program with the School of Cinematic Arts. It is called the Business/Cinematic Arts Joint Program (BCA). A student applies to the Marshall School for this major, but courses are taught at Marshall and at SCA.

There are some incredible You Tube videos from SCA. Look for USC School of Cinematic Arts and there are videos explaining each program within the school. I found the one on Interactive Entertainment beyond anything I had ever seen before.

Hey, heres some videos that I found incredibly interesting about the SCA. Thought you might enjoy them as well-- it can give you a good idea of what you may like to major/minor in.

I'm very interested in the School of Cinematic Arts, but I missed the deadline for application by a while, so I just applied to the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Now I've been accepted to USC (as well as some other colleges), and I'm just wondering how easy it would be to transfer from the College of L, A & S to the cinematic school. Would I have to wait a year? Is it even possible? I'm also trying to decide if I should do the Thematic Option thing-would this work for me if I try to transfer schools?

mjohnson,
A suggestion would be to visit the SC forum and ask your question there. Some of the students who post are in the TO program and may be able to help you.
Congratulations on your acceptance.
