A few questions about dorm assignments

1) I'm still not totally sure if I want to live in the dorms again next year - if I don't get the room I want, will I be able to cancel my housing contract without any issues?

2) When do dorm assignments come out for returning students?

3) Which dorms have single rooms? As a returning student, would I have a good chance of getting one?

Thanks. :)

Bump. Anyone?

1.) You’ll be able to cancel, but you won’t get your $50 (application fee) + $300 (housing deposit) back.

2.) Housing assignments are online February 25 for returning residents.

3.) I don’t exactly know, but I do know that Brackenridge and Duren have singles. Duren singles are the most expensive rooms on campus, though – $14,791 for a year.

The whole $300 nonrefundable fee sucks balls. Just sayin’.

:(

I have until the 11th to pay but I’m not sure if I want to.

If you cancel your contract BEFORE May 1, you don’t get the $300 back.

If you cancel your contract AFTER May 1, you don’t get the $300 back and have to pay an additional $200. >:| UT is money hungry i see.

Non-refundable? Ouch.

I guess I should decide if I really want to live in the dorms before I pay… a lot of it really depends on what room I end up getting, though. :/

Its nonrefundable if you’re not a first time freshman.

Yeah. x_x
