<p>first of all, if you're planning on applying ED, is it a MUST that your SAT II scores be sent by the deadline? is there any leeway for the scores? and also...this might be kind of stupid, but is it necessary to write your essay from the first person p.o.v.? i always liked writing short story narratives i the third person and was wondering if i could write my essay in that form. i could make it sound just as personal, and i think it'd be better than if i wrote "I ...... but are they going to think i'm extremely weird for writing in the third person? oh..and last question: do columbia students consider themselves "happy students?"</p>
<p>People who write/speak in third person often have the knack of sounding very stupid. If you can write without sounding lame, then go for it, but I would say that instead of doing stuff to catch attention, you just write sincerely and from the heart.</p>
