A Few Questions (if you can answer any one of them it would be helpful)

First:

What do you think my chances are for the honors program at CLA? My highest grade on the ACT was a 28 (30 if super-scored), when I sent in my application, my unweighted GPA was 3.63 and my weighted was 3.84, I was top tenth in my class, had a huge increasing trend, took undergrad courses at UChicago, and had decent EC's by UMinn standards.

Second:

I got my application in on December 17th (not sure when they recieved it). So, if I sent my midyear report in now, I doubt it would get there before they mail decisions. Can I be admitted to the honors program after they made their decision? If so, what do you think my chances are if my midyear report brings my weighted GPA to a 4.0?

Third:

UMinn (CLA) with honors v. Reed College, UMinn without honors v. Reed College. I'm not sure if I got into Reed yet; but if I did, it will be hard for me to make a decision. Money is somewhat important, and I've heard mixed things about financial aid at Reed. Because this decision is essentially based on my career goals, it's important to mention that I would like to run for a political office.

I cant really help you with any of your questions. But let me tell you that if you someday run for president I will vote for you if you make college free for all...for the sake of our children you know. :p

Haha, I'll keep that in mind.

That happened last year, and I expect it to happen this year. Therefore you may as well send in updated information as soon as you have it.

Good luck.

Do you want to run for office in Minnesota or in Oregon?

Ah, that's a good point. I actually tend to be more conservative, so maybe Oregon wouldn't be the best place to run for office. Thanks for answering.

To elaborate more on my financial situation, I plan on attending a more expensive grad school.
