Plz Answer any question that you can....
Thank you soooooooo MUCH.....

I’m a direct admit to Kelley and in the honors college already, but from what I understand you just need to pull a B or above in your classes (not sure whether that means every class or just business-related classes) and don’t take too many slacker courses and you should be fine for Kelley. Not sure what the requirements for gaining acceptance into the honors college are, but I remember seeing something about it on their website. I’d check there.

A combination of easy gen eds and required business classes. For the required business classes, I would space out MATH-M 118, MATH-M 119, and BUS-K 201 over the first year. I also learned a lot in CMCL-C 121 (public speaking, a required class for business students and easier than BUS-X 104). I would not recommend taking BUS-X 100 because it is not required for any major and is just an extra class.

No idea

If you pass the placement exam you will not have to take MATH-M 119, but still have to take MATH-M 118, plan accordingly.

BUS-K 201 is required, BUS-X 100 is not.

I would take 5 classes (15 credits).

You need a GPA above 3.7 after the first semester for Hutton Honors. Kelley admissions has been discussed a lot on this forum already. Kelley Honors is competitive; they look at your resume, GPA, essay, leadership in on-campus clubs, and recommendations. I am in all three and if you have any more questions on this just PM me.

On the Kelley website, it says that students already admitted to IU need:

-Completion of 2670 hours of college coursework. (For transfer students, this includes completion of at least one semester on the Bloomington campus.)
-Consistent B performance across all courses. Please note that a B does not meet this requirement. The Admissions Committee reviews grades in all courses, not just business courses.
-Completion of ENG-W 131 Elementary Composition (or equivalent).

Completion of three or more of the following admissions courses:
MATH-M 118 Finite Mathematics
MATH-M 119 Brief Survey of Calculus
BUS-K 201 The Computer in Business
BUS-X 100 Introduction to Business Administration OR BUS-G 100 Business in the Information Age

-Demonstrate commitment to course load. Students with no Ws in coursework have stronger applications.
-Extracurricular activities, community service, work experience, and optional letters of recommendation are considered by the committee, but academic performance weighs most heavily in the committees decision.

Like Max, I think that CMCL-C 121 is a better choice than X104.

If English is not your native language, then you might want to take advantage of the free tutoring that IU provides. Writing Tutorial Services (WTS) can tutor C121 students as well as W131 students. Its central location will be in the Wells Library, right across the street from Kelley, beginning Fall 2011. During the school year, WTS also tutors in Kelley in Room 433 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 69pm and Thursdays from 58pm.
