A-G Requirement for UCs?

Hey guys, I'm wondering when UC's check whether you have completed your A-G requirement, do they look at current year's course listings for your school, or they look at the year in which you took the course? For example, for a VaPA you took sophomore year (2009-2010), do UC's look at the course listings of your school to see if it qualifies under A-G this year or the year you took the course?

they don’t “look” if you are instate. UC has the course info for all state high schools online. The computer just matches up your app with their database. If you are OOS, then yes, it is a manual process.

Oh alright thanks!

Sorry for the double post, but I just realized my question wasn’t completely answered.
To clarify, I was wondering if I take a class which was an elective during my sophomore year and under UC’s course listings, the class is just a regular elective during the year, but during my Junior and Senior year, the class becomes a certified Visual and Performing art class under the UC’s listings, does that mean I have met the requirement if UC’s require 1 year of visual and performing art?

Sorry my wording is very poor here, but I hope some of you get the picture.

EXAMPLE:
Sophomore Year- took a class which was just used as credits
Junior and Senior Year- Class is considered a Visual and Performing Art

If I took the class my sophomore year when it was just a regular class at the time, does it mean I fulfilled the VaPA requirement since the class is now known as a VaPA?
