I'm confused at to what counts towards the a-g requirements for UC schools. I read in some places that 9th grade does not count at all, and in others that as a certain amount of classes must be completed in the last two years of high school. I took photography in 9th grade which would be my F requirement, but I don't know if that counts because it was in 9th grade? Should I take another art class senior year or just stick with what I have (which is only photography). Also, after doing some research, I still don't know what satisfies the G requirement.

Your photography class counts- it doesn't matter what grade you took it in. The UC's don't look at 9th grade for GPA, not for classes fulfilling the A-G requirements.

Almost anything can fulfill the G requirement. If you want, take a third year of foreign language or science, and that will fulfill the requirement.

(I learned about this link from another CC participant, I'm pretty sure.)

ok thanks, as long as it counts for fulfilling a class I'm happy.
