a-g?

hey guys, Im applying to berkely but i just didnt get one of the courses required

for where we need one year of visual/performing arts, I did band and jazz band, but also did honors engineering design does the engineering course count as a visual art? i know band is good for performing art bu i dont know about the engineering design course

Use http://doorways.ucop.edu (specifically <a href=“A-G Policy Resource Guide”>A-G Policy Resource Guide; ) to find out which high school courses at your California high school satisfy which a-g requirements.

thanks but im from nj so does this still apply to me as well

Contact UC with your question about what at your school satisfies the art requirement if your school is not listed in the UC Doorways site.

You may also be eligible by exam:
[University of California - Admission by exam](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/requirements/examination/index.html)

This does not guarantee admission, but avoids the automatic rejection that you would otherwise get if you are missing a requirement.

I am also in a similar situation.

But, I do satisfy the “Admission by Exam” requirement based on my SAT scores. What is the recommended way to indicate that my application should be considered based on “Admission by Exam”?
Thanks.

If your high school does not offer visual & performing arts, just write that in the additional comments area and it’ll be fine.
