<p>I'm trying to figure out exactly where I want to go, and I'm afraid I've chosen too many reach schools instead being realistic. What are my chances, and may I have a few suggestions for saftey/match schools that are simliar in character to the ones I have here?
Trinity College
Emory University
University of Chicago
Carleton College</p>

probably about 3.4/.5 uw, 4.56 weighted
46 (definetely higher now) / about 450
SATs: old 1280, but I took those over a year ago, and know I did much better on the new one

<p>other stuff here and there that I can't think of and don't even know if I should include. Should applicants include things they've been invited to, and didn't attend like National Congressional Leaders of America, People to People, etc.?</p>

<p>Good at writing, so essays should work greatly in my favor.
Sooo....any input?</p>

my son had Carleton (WL - probably his GPA) and U Chicago (will be attending this fall) on his list. Other schools on his list included Brandeis, Case, and Allegheny college. Brandeis is a reachy match for you, Case and Allegheny are matches. I think you have a pretty good shot at Trinity with a good essay. Other LAC's to consider: Smith, Bryn Mawr, Skidmore, Centre. Safeties - Hanover, Ohio Wesleyan. </p>

<p>Don't put stuff you have been invited to but didn't do on your list. </p>

<p>Start the dialog with coaches soon - that might really give you a bump!</p>
