Hey guys what is the best subject combination for a levels if i intend to study to computer science as my degree in the future??

Mathematics, Physics, ICT and Further Mathematics in my opinion.
You might want to take Chemistry instead of Further Mathematics if you want.

What about maths, further maths, physics and economics? Will thats be a good subject combination? Or is it better to choose chemistry or applied ict instead of economics? Btw i am taking edexcel board. Thx in advanced. =)

I suggest taking ICT, Math and Physics at any rate.

You can chose between chem and economics and F Math. If you like Math then I suggest you take F Math. In F Math take D1 and D2 (Decision math) which might help if you pursue Computer Science in university level.

Chemistry AS and A2 are both killers. Especially Unit 4 and 5. But since you seem interested in Econ, I suggest take Math, Physics, ICT and Economics. That would be quite a rigorous combination. Oh and I advice taking C1-C4 M1 S1 combo for Math and taking the Math exam in one sitting i.e. taking all the units in one sitting.

Thx for your advice. Btw I am just wondering is applied ict same as ict? Cos the college i am going only offers applied ict… And if i intend to do eecs what would be the better combo?

I guess both are same and taking anyone would be sufficient enough to prepare you for EECS.For EECS I suggest Math Physics ICT and Chemistry or Math Physics ICT and F Math. Again I personally would have taken F Math since I detest chemistry. Its your decision. But you should have Math Phy and ICT at any rate. The 4th subject is your choice.

Thx again… I think i would choose F math over chem…

Hey last question( i am so sorry to annoy you) let say my coolege does not offer applied ict, ict or computing, which one would be the best subject to replace it cos my college has not really offered the subject yet, they just suggested it so ya…

Phy Chem Math and F math then
You could replace F Math/Chem with Econ if you want to.
Follow your academic passions. That is the main thing ! :)

Thank you very much for your time and advice. Its very helpful! =D

Anytime :)
