A liitle boy walks past a tombstone at a graveyard...

on it is written : here lies a politician and an honest man
and so the little boy says,

hm, I didn't know it was possible to fit two people in one coffin

... but anyways now that i have your attention , I am a prospective premed student , and I would like to attend a great school, I am already looking at UPenn and Johns hopkins as well as NYU, I would like to hear of more great university's in terms of medicine, and all around credibility, thanks.

Premed?

I mean, since you are only looking for great schools with great premed, its a broad list, but right of the bat:

All the Ivies, Duke, Stanford, JHU, Wash U

^Great schools for med placement, somewhat grade inflation, aside from JHU mostly fun places.

two schools that may not have the face value of the ives and such are Miami of Ohio and MSU. Both have excelent placement percentage and both have programs that put you in working in either a hospital or in research with med students.

WASP, and other top LACs will give you ample opportunities for undergraduate research, which is growing ever important for pre-meds

You should look into Rice -- excellent pre-med advising, abundant undergrad research opportunities, access to world's largest medical center adjacent to campus, 90% med school placement rate.

my god-brother went to JHU he absoluely loved it... he is going to be a Phd and and MD.

Thank you guys, i have also read about 6 year advanced courses and 7 year, in which they combine undegraduate and graduate. ive seen one at penn state main campus in particular because i live in PA and so they advertise their school often, although I'm not sure if a 6 or 7 year course would be that great , becuase life is unpredictible i mean what if i come to realize that for whatever the reason medicine isn't for me , i would be in deep trouble then. what's your prospective on it ?
