I've always been a slacker-overachiever in the past, the kid who doesn't work too much but cares enough to pull off an A in the end. But now that I'm a senior, I just can't quite summon that motivation anymore. My mistake was signing up for AP courses in French and English, my two least favorite subjects. I JUST DON'T CARE about those classes. They are boring and don't teach me anything I care about learning.

As long as I don't get completely awful grades, I should be able to gain admission and scholarships at several colleges where I'd be happy, My future seems set, and right now I'm rolling through life more happily than I have for years. Things are falling my way.

So, I can do a little work and make A's in those classes. Or I can slack off and scrape B's, What do you think?

Well, slacking and getting B’s when a little effort could have gotten me A’s has always been my style. We can’t really make this decision for you. Just be careful, because you don’t want to be kicking yourself later if those B’s come back to hurt you.

Dude, just get A’s. Geez. You’re going to have to endure through more boring classes in college than what you have gone and are going through in high school. I wonder how you’re going to survive then.

^^ So? What does that even have to do with anything? You’ll still have to take classes above the introductory ones you were able to be exempt from, and they’ll in fact be twice as boring as the preliminary ones especially for history, literature ,and English.

@NulliSecundus I referred to those subjects because they are in close correlation to the ones that the OP mentioned he finds dull and slacks off in.

Actually, no. I should have enough credit to waive almost all of the classes I have no interest in.

Anyway, I don’t mind history all that much. Just English and languages.

I’m just going to keep my priorities in mind. I have A’s right now. If it’s a choice between wasting time on CC and doing enough work to keep the A, I’ll do the latter. If it’s a choice between doing something I really want to do and keeping the A, screw it.
