a little dilemna with ap scholar stuff

hey guys i'm currently a junior and i have taken 6 AP classes getting four 5's and 2 4's. because my gpa isn't too hot, one of my main academic hook will hopefully be being an ap scholar with honors. however, don't you have to have taken 8 AP's to do this. so now i'm missing 2 and i'm really into applying ED to Brown but how would i let the admissions officers know that i defenitly plan on doing this? any help with this big problem?

sorry, the ap awards are absolutely worthless on your college app, but it is CB's marketing machine at its finest! The reason I say that is bcos Admissions officers can easily count the AP classes on your transcript. (They don't need an AP award to tell them you already took 6 -- they'll see it first.)

Do list any AP award, but any academic award from your HS is much more important and should be shown higher. List your AP scores in the "Other" section of your app. Your senior AP classes will be on the college app as well, so they'll know you have strength of schedule.

this site has some info...

but i thought that AP Scholar awards are a big deal? i talked to a upenn admissions officer the other day and he said that below a national merit scholar it's one of the best academic achievements...oh well maybe not...but im still not sure
