a little problemo...

hello, i'm really interested in northwestern but i was wondering whether i could get in. I have an exact 3.7 GPA unweighted, but my weighted is about a 4.7 or 4.8 and I'm in the top 6% in my class and I checked with my counselor the other day and she says me and 4 other students in my class of 670 have the rigorest course selection within our 4 high school years. Is my unweighted GPA going to bring down my chances or will it be covered up by the weighted scores? thanks a lot for any help.

I think you your GPA is pretty good? a 4.7 weighted is good. Do you do any extra clubs, volunteer, sports?

yes, this would be a good idea...

you're looking pretty good. your entire resume is very attractive, you do things well and you haven't spread yourself too thin. remember, a high gpa doesn't mean you're in; often times kids will apply with those high gpa's and sat scores and little more. those kids are unattractive to the school. the most important factor for the school is deciding how much you can offer to the school as a person, and your 3.7 uw gpa doesn't hurt you in the large scope of things because of your strong overall application. just make sure your essays are solid and your recs are solid and i think you'll be fine.

damn impressive resume.

thanks! you guys are just swell lol.
