A manageable schedule for sophomore year?

Hello, I am a current freshman pondering my sophomore schedule for next year. My current schedule is this:
Chemistry Honors
Biology Honors
Pre-Calculus Honors
Orchestra I
AP Human Geography
Spanish II
English I Honors
Introduction to Information Technology
AP Computer Science

Though my schedule is very rigorous for the average freshman, I am making straight A’s with no difficulty at all in any of my classes. This being said, here is what I wish to propose for my sophomore schedule:
English II Honors
AP Calculus AB
AP Biology
AP Physics I
AP World History
Orchestra II
AP Music Theory

Now, I realize that this is 5 AP’s, a significant jump from the two that I am taking this year. Calc AB is a must, since I’m in pre-calc this year and there are no other calculus classes at my school. I would like very much to take AP Bio, since I have sophomore friends who say that it’s very simple at our school and you learn a lot. AP World is also known to be relatively simple (I have a friend who is in World and Euro at the same time and making A’s in both!). Now, my only questions are on if I should take Physics and Music Theory next year. Would two AP sciences be too stressful for one to handle? I’d like to hear from experience, if possible. I am very interested in Physics, which is why I would like to go ahead and take the class instead of waiting another year. For Music Theory, one of my best friends is in it and says how easy it is all the time. I’ve sung and played piano since fourth grade, and I’ve played the cello since sixth grade, so I know quite a bit of theory already. I don’t see the class being too difficult for me to grasp. Now, knowing all this about me and my school, do you believe my schedule could be manageable? Thank you

I would not take AP Bio and AP Physics at the same time. Both of fhese classes might be too much to handle together. Would you have a study hall? You could always take physics your junior or senior year and take AP Bio next year. What were you thinking?

@MPC6789 I will not have a study hall next year. My main basis for taking AP Bio is that I’m very much enjoying Bio this year and my friends have said AP is awesome if you want to learn more, which I do. Physics would be for my own interest and self-advancement. I took physical science in eight grade and very much enjoyed the Physics aspect of that.

I would take only one AP science, and physics would probably be your best bet if you’re taking calculus that same year. Bio might seem “simple” but it’s a LOT of work and reading on your own time, and if you’re taking four other AP courses that’ll be difficult to manage. Word of advice, AP Music Theory isn’t very easy either… a lot of inherent talent and ability comes into play from what I’ve been told, it’s not something you can just study and do well in. Human Geography is easy as heck, I didn’t do anything in that class and got a four on the exam. If you’re good at math and it’s not too boring to you, go ahead and take calculus and physics if you think you’ve got it. Don’t worry too much about human geography. I would drop the biology and take it as a junior or senior.

What classes are you going to take your junior and senior years? Colleges like to see math through all four years of high school, regardless of how many credits you have. Maybe take AP Stats or something as a junior, but I don’t know what you could do for that one last year. Keep in mind you have FOUR years of high school, junior year being the year most colleges pay heavy attention to.

I feel like it would be beneficial to see a four year schedule. I would definitely drop one of the AP sciences for the upcoming year and take it junior or senior year. If you want to take AP Bio next year while its fresh in your mind, go for it, but save AP Physics for some other year. Message me if you want to have a more in depth conversation if you don’t want to have it on a thread.

AP Physics, Bio and History all at the same time? I don’t know if I would even take an AP History and Bio at the same time just because of the amount of information you have to memorize in those classes alone.

From what I’m hearing, I think I’ll drop the Physics and just go with Bio next year. You all are right; I’m going to have two more years of school to do Physics, so why rush it all next year? I believe I’ll stick with Music Theory though. Thank you all for your opinions.
