A Message to RD Applicants

Don't waste your time with these "Chance Me" threads! All they are going to do is drastically increase your stress levels with the idea that you may or may not be "good enough." The only person whose opinion matters, regarding your chances, is your admissions officer.

I personally chose not to post a "chance me" thread because of these reasons, and I don't regret it. Take the stats you see on the collegeboard, the Penn admissions site, and US News as more credible guidance than some opinions here.

I can't speak for the other accepted ED students, but I can say that if you want my opinion on an essay or a resume, I'd be willing to offer it; however, I think it is a waste of your time and my time (and the time of everybody else) to post a "chance me" me thread.

Take the step with your best foot forward, regardless of what your "chances" are.

Good post. Not having a 2300 or even a 2200 on your SAT doesn’t mean you can’t get in. Just show passion in what you do for extracurricular activity and have a good GPA and you should be fine.
