What's the problem with Sydney University, UNSW or UTS?

Nothing is wrong with those univesities. I just want to experience something new, live in a completely different place, and discover it for myself.

Corny I know...
yeah...and I thing harvard would be a great place to do that. So many opportunities available to its students.
do u live in Sydney?

Yeah I live in Sydney.

Yeah, there is something wrong with those places - they're rubbish. Apart from Sydney University, which is vaguely acceptable.

Care to explain?

Not really. You're much better off if you go to university in the States, don't think many people would dispute that.

How are some Australian universities rubbish just because certain universities are better?

Americans LOVE Australians - we have AWESOME colleges and universities, probably 2 or 3 HUNDRED that match Harvards undergraduate education (although only a handful that match its graduate and professional schools). Being an Indian Australian is definitely a mini-hook, but Harvard is insane to get into even for valedictorians with near perfect SATs.

Univ of Wisconsin (where the heck is that?) has as many S&P 500 CEO's as does Harvard.

Harvard's president tried to make professors teach more undergraduate classes - and they FIRED him.

Because rubbish is relative.

So, for example, you are rubbish compared to those that earn higher salaries and benefit from greater wealth?

Yeah, that's the idea.

That's a load of rubbish :)

I reckon so.

beprepn....."we have AWESOME colleges and universities, probably 2 or 3 HUNDRED that match Harvards undergraduate education"

now which Australian university is comparable with the Ivies???

http://ed.sjtu.edu.cn/rank/2004/top500(1-100).htm

I think beprepn is American and talking about American 'colleges'.

texas14 has no clue. Couldn't find Uluru if he was standing on top of it.

you really active and thats definetly a plus. when it comes to acedemics, you seem to be in upper middle part. (for the most part) i dont have the knowledge to judge, just thought i would let you know where you shine :D

thanks guys :)

to the poster who asked where the heck the university of wisconsin is...

I suggest looking in the state of Wisconsin
