A note about admissions this year

Tepper....

did you get a general one--email? or personally sent by the adm committee?

"Jeffrey,

Hi! My name is Maryam, and I am a student contact for the Making Student Connections program at Carnegie Mellon University's Office of Admission. I am writing to inform you that our office has received your application and is in the process of reviewing it. You will be receiving a decision letter between March 21 and April 21.

Furthermore, I want to let you know that if you have any questions, you can reach an Admissions Counselor during the weekdays at 412.268.2082, or many of your questions can be answered on Carnegie Mellon's website: www.cmu.edu. Also, please feel free to contact me personally with questions about anything" - email

I might have just gotten the email before anyone else because my last name is at the front of the alphabet.

well my last name is in the H~L region and i havent received this email yet!
:)

know why it's extended to 21st of April?
now im gonna be checking my email, mail box, "where am i in the process...", and this site even more..

Too many waitlisting causes extension of overall decisions.

I don't really think anyone knows what to do with this massive pile of WL applicants. I think they are considering moving some of them from the WL pile to the accepted/rejected pile.
