I completed my online application to UVA in December. I sent my supplementary documents to Virginia , sometime before the deadline. However , after the first week of February , my application status page was still not updated. I emailed the admissions office but did not get a reply.

In the last week of February , I received an email , stating that my documents had not been received. The email however did say , to send them in as soon as possible along with my mid-term grades. I can only imagine my documents were lost in the post.

This time I faxed them over , and sent them by courier to ensure their quick and safe arrival. The status page , has now been updated. I still am on tenterhooks if I will get a decision from UVA , on March 30th. Could anyone shed some light on the situation.

I have absolutely no idea...didn't want to be another view w/o an answer, though. Hope someone can help you out. Maybe try calling admissions Monday and checking with them what qualifies as doing it online. I would think, and this is just a totaly guess, that if you have an account and submitted the application online it would be up.

If you submitted your application online, and only mailed your midterm grades/supplements, then my best guess is that you'll still be able to view your decision online.
I would try calling their office, just to double check. They're nice people, and can probably give you a quick answer =)

I'll just say this. The post office in charlottesville leaves MUCH to be desired. I've personally experienced many lost letters/letters which take weeks to receive.

I applied online but sent my midyear grades in by mail also. On my status page it says Transcript: Institution Centreville Secondar, Received: Official. Am I good?

I had to call the Admissions Office a few times during the app season. They're very nice, and I found them to willing to help. Explain your situation to them, and be persistent. I'm sure it will be all right since they did tell you what was missing so late in the process. If they had no intention of giving you the time of day, then they wouldn't have contacted you to begin with.
