A question about davis's biology program, and biking/running environment

how does davis’s biology program fare compared to other UCs and schools? I heard that davis’s biology program was extremely good… and wut are the relative requirements of getting into UC davis’s biology program (undergraduate)? (like grade, sat scores, classes, etc etc)

and here’s another random question: I love to run and bike in my free time and considering davis is biker’s paradise, the school is really starting to appeal to me on paper. But how about the running environment? Are there alot of runners? Any marathons? 5k runs? How about trails? or clubs?

There's the Davis Stampede every year <a href="http://daviswiki.org/Davis_Stampede%5B/url%5D">http://daviswiki.org/Davis_Stampede</a> Some info from the davis wiki <a href="http://daviswiki.org/Places_to_Walk_or_Run%5B/url%5D">http://daviswiki.org/Places_to_Walk_or_Run</a>
If you like to run on hills davis is very flat.

Well, the bio department is very strong and one of the best at Davis. That goes without saying, we just got a brand new state of the art lab sciences building for undergrad use, so us bio majors get to use that facility. I dont have stats off the top of my head, but its a very strong department.

I dont know about any events yet, but after visiting the campus I'm sure you'd love the arboretum if youre into jogging/running. Come check us out on a campus tour and ask questions/find out for yourself.
