Hey all i had a question about when you apply to a college.Say you applied to college "A" i heard that the closer your school is to that college IN-STATE the more people they take? like i live in California so if i was to go to high school in the bay area wouldn't i have a better chance to get into say San Jose state than me going to a school in like sacramento? Thanks in advance.

I think it depends. In San Diego, for example, vie heard that some students in the north of san diego like la jolla and Carlsbad get “pushed” towards mire costa state college instead of San Diego state university because SDSU takes Elgibility in a Local Context students from south San Diego.

I’m not completely sure. It might just be urban legend.

yea that’s what i want to find out. i hear that the closer you are to a college the more better chance u have than getting accepted by the college if u were the same student but like 50 miles farther.
