zantedeschia, I put Fierce Invalids. Haven't read Still Life yet. I'm reading Half Asleep.. right now. TR rocks!!

Oh that's awesome. I haven't read as much as I'd like. I've read Jitterbug Perfum and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. He does rock!

Snow Falling on Cedars, for me.

so did anyone use www.princeton.edu as their fav website? lol

hey what are you guys talking about?! is this a cc survey or for an application?

well, this is a survey, but i see nothing wrong with that. I find this thread just as enlightening as the ED Lounge, or other threads.

Plus, lighthearted discussion is vital in these times of stress, imo. ^_^

It's part of the Princeton app. Fun right?

So I'm wondering whether I should put an Album or a Song, and I'm wondering whether I should put down my 2 favorite books. 1 is very limiting cries

I say flip a coin. heh heh. If you like both, then your image in the adcom's eyes shouldnt change drastically depending on the two books

Pick the less mainstream one, so that they are more likely to learn something about you and see you as unique.
I put a song, but a lot of people put an album. I guess if you actually like more than half the songs on an album that's just as good.

Ditto. I picked a favorite album of mine that very few have actually hard of. It seems to speak more about my personality.

Yayyyyyyyyy entropicgirl (I don't check the board often, but alas, here I am).

Dr. Strangelove and Amadeus are amazing, amazing films. Amadeus scaring you, though? Eh. I can see that happening, though it's never really done that to me. It's not extremely profound, but it's profound enough for me to enjoy it. I'm glad that someone else agrees avec moi.

My favorite website is www.cato.org--I talked about how that site has saved my butt in debate so so many times. What'd you guys put for greatest source of inspiration? I ended up putting "my greatest mistakes"...because it is so obviously true.

hehe, reading through these again...(I'm totally non-topical, I know)--and I actually put FoxNEWS as my favorite source of news because it is "so unfair and unbalanced that many an interesting conversation has stemmed from its coverage" :)

Favorite booK: East of Eden definitely
Favorite recording: Should I go for Pink Floyd "Wish you were here' or Jethro Tull 'Songs from the Wood' or the Doors 'Strange days' or Led Zeppelin 'Kashmir'? Also I dont suppose my nylon string guitar counts as a keepsake or memento. Crap...
favorite movie: Oh god what do I write for this one? There are way too many!

pick the one that moved you the most emotionally perhaps

did anyone put CC as their fav website ;)

If yes, be careful I think some adc-ms will be around :)

I did! Haha. Well, I mean....it is...heh.

lol no. But really if I were an admissions officer, I'd look around here and be very intrigued.

Sucharita, you can put anything as a keepsake or memento. It actually helps if it's kinda weird/unique.

What to choose, a bust of King Tut I picked up in Egypt or a Tibetan prayer-wheel?

wow those are both pretty original. I guess it depends on what is actually more significant for you. Don't randomly choose something just because it's unique.
