Wow, that test was intense...Twas my first SAT too. I think I did alright. However, I wasn't able to finish my essay in time. I was finishing the conclusion when time was called. Do unfinished essays cause readers to lower your score? I think I wrote a rather excellent essay, yet I wasn't able to complete it...Will that bring about a lower score?

Conclusion won't affect you greatly. You probably won't get a 12, but if your essay is good, you probably still have a chance at 11 or 10. I think the collegeboard web said that the score will be online on April 4th.

What about if you had ONE sentence for your conclusion, and it wasn't really an eloquently stated conclusion?

I also only had 2 lonnnng examples.... I didn't get to fill up both pages though... i finished like 3/5 of the second page. What would my score be? 10 or 11?

I read a friend's essay that was 1.5 pages and she only got a 9... If your essay was really great, with good use of vocab and good examples, a 10 is possible I suppose.

I did the same thing, except my essay probably sucked… I thought it was solid at the time but it apparently wasnt because I got a 6 on the essay bit. Really disappointed but now I know and I’ll try to finish it when I take it again in December.
