A serious grade/chances question. B- in micro honors

Yeah, I missed a B by 0.8% and with the curve an A- (yes an A-!!!) by 3% :frowning:
Nothing I can do but how badly do you think this will look? My first semester gpa is actually fairly “average”.
I attend the Business School and Honors College here at the University of Pittsburgh.
1st semester gpa: 3.53
micro honors: B-
Elementary Russian I(for majors): A-
Classical Piano (for majors): A-
Psychology(for majors):A-

2nd Semester Classes
Elementary Russian II (5 credits)
Analytic Geometry and Calculus I (4 credits)
Nuclear Age, Nuclear War (history majors class,1000’s level, all seniors/juniors in the class) (3 credits)
Macroeconomics Honors (3 credits)
Seminar in Composition (3 credits)

I’ll apply to Wharton, unless I can apply undecided and then transfer into Wharton… Any chances?

Oh yeah forgot to add. I'm obviously a freshman and I guess my "hook" is I'll be interning/working for UPMC Shadyside, ranked a top 10 hospital in the United States in the executive administration department under the VP of all business operations and will be working with actual patients in the OR to improve the system of the entire OR wing.

don't be shy guys. Want my other EC's? Fine....
Piano, music writing, poetry, a plethora of business awards, varsity track, varsity basketball, power lifting tournaments, math tutor, amateur chess tournaments winner, and so forth...

penn students wishing to transfer into wharton must have a minimum gpa of 3.7-3.8, and the standard for external transfers (from other institutions) is usually higher.

so if I got a 4.0 this semester and had a 3.75 QPA would that suffice? you only answered like 1/12th of the question

yury...you are being kind off rude.

ah sorry, I genuinely didn't mean to come off rude in any way. I apologize if I did, it's just his response was kind of vague and not what I was really asking.

i should have clarified by saying that gpa is the sole factor in determining internal transfer; if you were here and not in wharton, your gpa as of right now is not sufficient for you to transfer.

if you do well this semester, you might make it.

anyone else?

Do the best you can. Make sure you check out the "ratemyprofessors.com" to know who's the best/worst teachers at your school.

well, i just got some disturbing news, i may not be in a calculus class this semester, will this REALLY hurt my chances?
