A Sign From Admissions? FA Office sent me email

I applied to Midd ED2 (decisions come 7 feb), and I just got an email yesterday from their FA office to provide some official documentation, "in order to make a financial aid determination".

What could this mean?

Does it imply anything, or is this normal?

well since you're apparently in Singapore, it probably has to do with special intl FA stuff. I've heard of this happening at other colleges before acceptances, don't know how it worked out for them tho.

All it means is that they need more data--they work separately from admissions.

I received multiple requests from Midd for missing FA documents, and I was ultimately admitted.

My belief is that they have to craft a compelling award first to protect their yield and provide greater incentives for admitted students to enroll.

But, it may be true that these two offices are truly separate.

I needed significant FA, though, FYI.
