A Year in the Life

Cool Video, “A year in the life of a BU Student.”

That was amazing! :D

BU always did make some great videos. Having just wrapped up first semester here, I can honestly say that this video is a pretty accurate description. And even though it was technically only a few months since I’ve arrived, this made me nostalgia hard.

I’ve seen or experienced almost all these things in this video. From the crazy move-in bonanza to the orientation parade down Commonwealth Ave. I was in that line to pick up my books at BU Barnes & Noble. I took classes near that crazy globe thing in the SMG building and the weird glowy screen in Photonics. I played in the orchestra on that stage and saw the summer season turn into a crazy-ass winter (and now back to a pleasant spring!). And I’ve logged plenty of hours in that library studying till 2am. I saw those kids trying to throw that frisbee around in on the BU beach (and failing) and I saw some (brutal) games in that arena. I haven’t gotten around to graduating yet, but hey I’ll get there in 3 years or so!

I was one of those kids that really had no idea what he wanted to do, and was clueless about where he wanted to go. Matter of fact, I don’t think anyone 18 years old knows what he/she wants to do or where he/she wants to be (though some might think they do). Now I’m here in Boston University and I’m double majoring in Economics and Computer Science. I experienced and learned more in a single semester than I have in the other 18 years of my life combined. I don’t regret a minute of it and I couldn’t be happier.
