Since I can't get into L-201 or C-204 in the fall, and M-118 (which I haven't taken) is a prereq for E-370, I'm basically stuck taking one of these classes. I will drop the accounting class if I get off the wait list for law and writing. But which do you think would be better to enroll in in the mean time.

Also, if I get into Kelley honors I may be able to enroll in C-205 or L-293 because they open more spots after releasing decisions they said.

I've only missed two questions on the first two exams in A201 combined, so I've done pretty well. I definitely feel like these classes will be a big step up though, so I don't know which to take.

I think A311 would be the most useful one in terms of getting an internship. Not many accounting majors have that one done when they do Fall recruiting as a junior.

DS3’s spring schedule is pretty tight. He may have to take A201 and A202 at our IU local campus during next summer. Would he miss something critical before he takes A311 and/or A325 at B’ton in Fall 2014?

But, would A311 alone be a substitute for A310 for a finance major in case he can’t take A312?

I don’t think he would have a problem. A lot of people in my A311 class last Spring (my sophomore spring) were juniors who took A201 two years prior as freshman. A201 is a distant memory for them. If anything, I think it would give him an advantage since the material will be fresh in his mind.

My understanding is that both A311 and A312 are required to substitute for A310. So if one took A311 then decided to only be a finance major, he would have to take A312.

Thanks. A311 and A312 can substitute for A310 and a 400 level finance elective. A325 can be a substitute for A324 and A327. That is probably the way to go since he still needs a solid accounting background even not being able to take it as a major.
