If anyone has their AA and has been to Preview, what status did you attain? Sophomore, Junior, or Freshman??

HS/AA preview isn’t until June 20-21

sorry. typo. Should have been to last year’s folks.

You are still a freshman. When I called Admissions, they said the status was Freshman with an AA. I guess where you are in terms of credits determines if you can continue on a Sophomore or Junior track.

Is there any advantage to being designated as sophomore rather than freshman?

One less year at UF, I suppose.

You are a FTIC, First Time in College, freshman with advanced standing. And if you have an AA at HS graduation you will have Junior standing once you go to register for Spring semester. Once you start classes in the fall and sign in, you will see that your standing (sophomore, junior) will depend on the number of ALL of your credits (community college, IB, AP) earned to date. It makes no difference at orientation/preview, but once you matriculate, you will see your standing.
