Only publics.

Google "California Proposition 209" (or even just "Prop 209") and you'll get plenty o' info about it.

nope, stanford and caltech and other privates still pay attention to urms, just the ucs don;t quite

is AA illegal at all public U's, or just the ones in cali?

i have always been under the impression that caltech could care less if your a purple colored orange polka dotted colored person, as long as you have perfect sat scores and a combination of amazing ec's and awards.

Before you become to concerned with the "effects" of Affirmative Action take some time to follow this discussion and become educated on the subject.

There are certain states that have passed initiatives to ban Affirmative Action. I think they are California, Washington, and Michigan. There might be more though.
