Hi guys, I have an urgent problem!! I just logged in to Common App and my supplement status says "not submitted"! I'm sure I submitted both parts of the application by the EA deadline... I just found out... WHAT DO I DO????

Do you think this ruins my chances for EA or will they let me off the hook? I'm going to call them in an hour, when their office opens. Oh my god! I know they have a date by which they notify us of 'missing documents', but this never applies for a 'missing supplement' right?? I'm so stressed out!

If you are absolutely sure that you submitted it, my guess is that it might not have been processed yet because of high volume of submissions around the dead line. But calling them and asking is certainly a good idea.

I just called the office, and after the admissions representative on the phone heard that the commonapp displays 'Not Submitted', she seemed convinced that it couldn't have been submitted and that there was no way I could still be considered for the Early Application round.

I'm planning to email the head of admissions to ask if they have it and if not, whether I could still send it in for EA, but I'm afraid they'll conclude that it was carelessness on my part, and I would have to be switched to the Regular Decision round... From their point of view, it could seem rather unconvincing that a system error like this could have occurred...

Since it would be difficult for me to provide 'proof' that I did submit it or that somehow something went wrong at CommonApp's end of things, do you think that they'd say no? the deadline was November 1st after all.

I didn't know I could check the app status online, and I just found out so I logged on... and to my complete horror i saw 'not submitted'. I sent both at the same time, but somehow my commonapp is shown as 'submitted' while the supplmenent is not... yikes, what to do!

I also thought I submitted it but the website told me I didn't, but it turns out I only submitted the common app portion, but the supplement.

I think there is still a chance I actually submitted, but it said I didn't submit. Lucky for me, it was a day before the deadline. I think you would have to go for regular decision pool, unless you call them. the 15 min wait is not fun.

Did you submit both individually or just submit the common app assuming that the supplement would be submitted as well?

Well, right now you really can't do anything about it except pray you did submit the supplement and Stanford recieved it or send in for regular decision pool.

it may be too late for EA, but do go ahead and do the submit soon (after calling Stanford) so it is submitted for sure for RD. And check the status frequently, so you don't miss RD deadlines.
