AAWWWW DANG AP SCORES... How much will they hurt!???

I took three AP tests: Biology, Comp, and US History. I sadly got 3s on all of these.

After reading the other topic, I found that I shouldn't have reported them to the colleges (but by recommendations by my counselor, I did). OMG

I applied to really top notch schools: Harvard, Princeton, Yale (and several safeties), and reported the scores to them. Does this mean my chances with them are done??

I did take the SAT II, and got 770 in Biology and 800 in MathII, 760 on the SATI writing section, but only got a 650 on USHistory (I SUCK at history). I'm probably goin to be a premed student.

So, how much will those 3s hurt me on a rank of 1-100? (100 kills chance, 1 no effect).

It's times like these that make me wish I had a freakin timemachine

I know they definatley won't kill your chances.

Man . . . a lot of people apply to HYP if they apply to one, I always thought those colleges didn't have a whole lot in common besides being awesome.

It will hurt very little if at all. I say this in the context of your SAT II's. Don't sweat it too significantly - if you aren't accepted, this won't be why.

ap scores arent considered in admissions decisions in general. most schools just use them for placement into certain classes.

5.

3's will get you credit for something.

AP scores are definitely considered in admissions decisions...otherwise you would submit them with your enrollment forms and not your application.

most schools state that AP scores can only help applicants and that you should send them as a result...

...i disagree completely. highly qualified applicants who have a few low AP scores aren't "helped" as much as highly qualified applicants with perfect AP exam results..

thus, they are put at a comparative disadvantage. which applicants would an elite college rather accept?

if you have anything less than a 4, you shouldn't send it.

The only AP score that means anything is 5.
