About Core Program in Liberal Studies

Hi, I guess I'm one of the few who applied to Core Program in the first place. I got assigned to the NY campus as NY campus was my number 1 choice (seeing how I'm international student). However, after having researched more I realized that "all students (who went to one of the global campuses) must join their peers" in the NY campus for their sophomore year. So does this mean since I got assigned to NY campus for my freshman year, I also have to spend my sophomore year at the same campus? Because that'd be really sad as my purpose in applying to LS was to get a global experience before I get into (transfer) to CAS... So is there no chance of going to a global campus in my sophomore year, OR go to a global campus in my FRESHMAN year against the Admissions Office's decisions?... Haha, this rather sucks.

Hey! I also applied to the core program in the first place, I’m really excited to go.
I’m not sure, but I think that study abroad options exist after freshman year as well. In my acceptance letter it said:
“While you are encouraged to study abroad during your tenure at NYU, we expect that you will begin your freshman year at our campus on Washington Square in New York City.”

If anyone currently in the LSP would be open to answering questions via this thread or PM, that would be awesome.

JRetCC hope to see you next year!! :D

Okay, I just emailed the Admissions about this, and they said that I have to ask to be waitlisted for a spot for my wanted global campus. :P
