About EE and Turing Scholars Program

I have been admitted to Electrical Engineering, and I also was admitted to the Turing Scholars Program. Does anyone know how can I complete the enrollment of the Turing Scholars Program? How can I arrange my courses? Thanks.

Can you post your stats? I want to know what it takes to get into the Turing Scholars Program. :O

Though your Turing Scholars class is 30% larger than past in years, it is still a small program so they’ll take good care of you if you’ve been accepted. I’m sure that if you email them telling them about your situation (make sure to mention that you were accepted), then they’ll be able to tell you exactly what to do.

frever, thank you very much. The following is the answer to my question from UT. I am still not sure how to complete the enrollment for the two programs.
Congratulations on your admission! You were admitted to Electrical and Computer Engineering for the fall 2012 semester.
The Turing Scholars Program is an honors program but there are no additional costs associated with this program.

That’s all they sent you? :\ Who exactly did you email? Registration begins this week so they’re probably backed up in the advising office. I wish I could give you some more information but I’m not very familiar with Turing Scholars. From here, I would recommend calling the recruiting and admissions coordinator, Rob Poynor, at (512) 471-9509. If you cannot reach him, I would then call the academic adviser, Mary Behringer, at (512) 471-9509.

On behalf of UT, I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Dual enrollment in EE and Turing Scholars is not very common and will require some close attention on the part of the advisers to ensure that you don’t end up taking an extra year to graduate.
