<p>it doesnt matter either if the school you select doesnt support it. its totally separate from what NMSC gives you (for example, if i went to USC, i would have gotten $17,000 per year from USC as well as $6,000 from boeing).</p>

Imavoyeurable - It’s the National Merit Semi-Finalist status that 16000 people get in the US. It received by getting over a certain PSAT score [different cut-off for each state]. then you fill out an application [personal info, activities, awards, job, etc stuff like that, and an essay ~500 words] to see if you get to be a finalist. If you get National Merit Scholar, idk less than half of the finalists get this, then yay, and you can get some scholarships and stuff, lol.

<p>wait im confused. so does one’s college major and career choice have an effect on whether they become a finalist or not??</p>
<p>also for “employed during the school year?”, should i put down that i babysit regularly or is that too irrelevant?</p>
