I am a high school senior, and am currently researching for colleges. I want to be a nurse and my college counselor told me to go to schools with direct entry nursing program. But I don't really understand what makes the difference with that program. I found some schools with direct entry nursing program and it says you have to get a bachelor's degree to start with. How do you become a nurse after you get accepted to college with nursing major? Please help me.. I am so lost :(

Well their are different ways to become a nurse…
One way: You could get an Associates Degree in Nursing and go straight to Nursing school. Although it depends on which program.

Second Way: get a Bachelors Degree in Nursing if the school offers it, and then go to Nursing School. I think many programs are requiring a nursing Bachelor now… (more popular) but its up to you.
And also if you want to be a nurse and you’re a senior, I would think about doing some dual enrollment my senior year; that will knock off some classes that you don’t have to take in college. There might be other ways to become a nurse like military programs, but those are the only two that I know the specifics.
