If I wrote that I planned to take 3 AP exams this May on my UC app, am i obligated to take them? A few of my classmates are considering only taking 1 of the 3 that they wrote, but are still taking the AP classes. Would this affect admission status?

somewhere on the UCLA forum there was a thread talking about this, and someone actually e-mailed UCLA admissions and they said it didn't matter unless they dropped the actual AP class.

I doubt Cal's policy would be much different.

i don't even remember them asking what ap exams you plan on taking? i'm pretty sure they only care that you don't drop all your ap classes. ap tests are purely for you and your college experience. after all, it's not like they're free.

ya, the tests don't matter (except you won't get credit!)

Thank you!

The university must receive the ap exam scores that you had planned to take by July 15th along with your transcript.
