about taking sat's many times

hello. im an applicant to caltech who has a question.
i took the SATs 4 times:
1st: end of soph yr (1400 700/700)
2nd: begin of junior yr (1340) ouch
3rd: mid of junoir yr (1520, 800M/720V)

and then the new one (2100 all sections about the same, had a bad day)

i'm extremely sure if i took it again i would do very well, but i would be crazy to since that would be the 5th.

will the admisisons look that i took my first one soph yr and that i took the new one to be able to have both an old/new score?

well, this year you're allowed to use either the old or the new system. Put down the 1520 as your official score (you're not likely to do significantly better than this, it seems). That way, we basically ignore the new score and it doesn't matter that much how many times you took it.

But if you did take it the fifth time, it would seem a little sick. so don't.

5 times!!!! and I thought retaking Math IIc for a second time would do some harm. (Not to sure if it would actually do any harm) Your take on this one Ben.

Twice is okay for anything. Five times is too much for anything : )

1520 is actually pretty good.
